Be sure to take a look at my post from yesterday (HERE) about a few new arrivals on the J. Crew website. There are a few more new pieces on the website today! Here are a few of things that I'm loving now!
That's what I'm loving, what J. Crew new arrivals are you loving?
It's no secret that I LOVE a cute J. Crew skirt! And, lately, I've figured out a sizing trick when it comes to those cute mini skirts that would be too short for me in the regular length. I loved this skirt when it first appeared on the website, but it was a mini, so I passed on it initially. Then, I decided to try these mini skirts in the tall size for extra length. Winner, winner chicken dinner! It worked!!! And, I tried it again with the J. Crew Ruffle Mini Skirt in Houndstooth. I am so glad that the tall length works for me because this skirt is SO fabulous!
Here are two ways to style this beautiful skirt:
One of my amazing online VPSs created the look with the navy graphic t-shirt and my amazing retail store peeps helped me create the look with the leather jacket.
This skirt is SO versatile. I love the idea of pairing the skirt with an equally versatile graphic t-shirt for a little fun pattern mixing. A cable knit sweater and a fun leather moto jacket is another cute (and warm) styling idea. I took this skirt in a 14 Tall. There is an elastic waistband in the back of the skirt, which makes the fit a bit generous. So, you could likely size down. I tried the skirt with taller boots, but I think that it works best with booties to elongate the legs.
The J. Crew Bow Seam Pencil Skirt in Double-Serge Wool is one of my favorite most recent wardrobe additions. As you know, I am a huge fan of J. Crew pencil skirts (well, I'm a huge fan of anything J. Crew!). But, this skirt is phenomenal. The fit is fantastic, the quality is superb, and the styling possibilities are endless. Here are two IRL pictures of the skirt:
I cannot say enough great things about this skirt. I highly recommend this beauty. You will not regret making the purchase! Fit is TTS to slightly big.
I have been eyeing the J. Crew Plaid Ruffle Mini Skirt in Double-Serge Wool since it appeared on the J. Crew website! The skirt is the cutest, but I was concerned that at about 17 1/2 inches it would be too short. So, I decided to try the tall version for extra length. I am SO glad that I did because this skirt is spectacular. I see why it has received multiple 5-star reviews on the website. The quality of the fabric is outstanding; the material is substantial, sturdy, cozy, and heavy. And, the fit is SO flattering. Moreover, this piece is so versatile The styling possibilities are endless. Here are a few IRL pictures of the skirt:
I love idea of wearing this gorgeous skirt with navy Tippi sweater, tights, and sparkling booties! Again, the styling possiblities are endless. Here is another styling option:
I highly recommend this gorgeous skirt! Fit is TTS.
