Looking Forward!

Hi Everyone!

My online PS sent me pictures of two skirts yesterday, and she told me that these skirts will be released on the J. Crew website soon. Here are the pics:

I really like this bright color! I'm trying to add more color to my wardrobe, so I'm looking forward to trying this lovely skirt on!

I really like the bow on this skirt, but I'm concerned about how the brown tones in the skirt will look against my skin.

What do you think of these skirts? Do tell!

  1. Omg, after a very boring collection last Fall they are killing me this year. How many pencil skirts does a girl need? That purple one will be mine unless the fit is off. I love the bow on the second skirt but I don't think it will work for me.
The shades of purple this year are just delicious! I can't get enough:)
    Thank you for sharing R!

  4. I think my online PS is either sick of me, or overwhelmed. She used to send me these types of things. Now I have to ask her when I see these on other blogs. She doesn't even comment on why she's not sending them when I mention others receiving these emails from their PSers. I love the purple skirt - is that a tweed? The bow skirt - not so much. Somehow plaids and bows seem weird together. Maybe I'm just too old, lol.

  6. shopwithm: I totally agree! Just when I think I'm done, JC releases a skirt that is gorgeous!

Suzy: I hear you!! About your PS: that is absolutely crazy. Have you thought about asking for a new ps? I mean, the goal is to move merchandise, right? I appreciate the pics of upcoming releases because they order so few size 14s, and they don't offer them in store. Please let me know if you want my personal shoppers info. She is fantastic and very responsive. About the purple skirt: it looks like it has some kind of texture, but I can't tell if it's tweed.

AppGal: I know, tell me about it. My husband may move me into the garage if I buy another pencil skirt, LOL!

  7. I will skip the purple one, since it is one colour that does me no favours. It's very pretty, though. The second skirt could be more versatile for me minus that bow. I could only wear tucked in tops and very cropped jackets or cardis with it.

    Thanks for the previews!

  8. Rose!! I'm with you, some colors are an absolute no-no for me. I have to be very careful with browns. I like the bow on the skirt, but as you point out, it limits what you can wear with the skirt. I have to stay far away from cropped tops!!!

Suzy: the purple skirt is available on the website now, and it has the word tweed in the title!!!

  9. did your PS say when they might pop up online? i like the plaid one with the bow a lot... although, i might remove the bow to make it more versatile.

  11. Thanks, Rynetta, would like to hear about your ps. Email me?
bichonluvr42005 at yahoo dot com. I saw the purple was up today. I love it, but am also loving my pink vintage tweed pencil skirt so much! I did preorder the neon pink (after seeing in on a blog, of course!). Plus, I did some shopping with the 25% off and 30% off deals. Whew! Fun, right??

  12. No problem, Suzy! You've got mail! And, like you, I love the pink vintage tweed skirt! Also, I did too much damage during these recent promotions, but I grabbed the tweed purple skirt!!! Tons of fun shopping!
