New Arrivals: What I'm Loving!

Hi Everyone!

I was super excited to see new arrivals on the J. Crew website this morning! My online PS told me that the no. 2 Pencil skirt in Royal Paisley would debut today, so I had to grab it! Here's what I'm loving from this rollout:

I can't wait to wear this lovely skirt!!!

I'm also loving the no. 2 Pencil Skirt in Harvest Tweed Skirt and the Neon Azalea Blythe Blouse it is styled with on the J. Crew website.

For some reason, I really like the blue color in the following boy shirt:

And, finally, I'm really loving the Majesty Peacoat in Dark Peony.

What are you loving? Do tell!

  3. Great picks! I can't do tweed skirts bc they accentuate every flaw. I have been thinking all day about that Talia blouse. It is so pretty and that's the name of my dear friend's daughter - that's a sign! Are you going to get it, or it that too much paisley for you?
I ordered the paisley skirt in 2 sizes. I don't know if this one will fit exactly as the wool version even though it has the same measurements. I bought a size down in the wool skirts this year. I hope they all fit when it's time to wear them.

  4. I just received my order confirmation for the royal paisley skirt and am looking forward to receiving it. And I think that had better be my last purchase for the month!

  5. Thanks, A!!!! I agree, tweed can accentuate every flaw. I'm still thinking about the Talia blouse (what a pretty name!). I really like the perfect shirt in paisley, so I may stick with that. Please let me know what you think about the fit of the paisley skirt, and if you get the blouse!!! I will post a review of the skirt as soon as it arrives.

  7. Originally I was going to get the perfect shirt in paisley, but seeing Talia threw me off. I just tried on the green Talia at the store on Monday and the fit was nice.
I only liked a few things last Fall, so it's so nice to be lusting after so many items this year.
PS - I pre-ordered the pink azalea skirt. I hope they are done for this year. I can't keep buying skirt.

  8. A, I keep wavering between the Talia and the perfect shirt too! I'm with you, there have been a lot of great colors/prints recently! I need to try the green Wreath blouse again. For some reason, it poofed a little bit in the shoulder area on me. I can't wait to see the new catalog!!!

  10. I got the skirts today and I am not sure about them. I love the print but not the material. And what's up with sizing? I am buying smaller sizes but I haven't dropped any weight.
I can't wait what you think of yours.

  11. A!! I was wondering about sizing too. The waist on the size 14 paisley skirt has a little bit more room than normal, but I can't size down because of my rear, LOL! I will post pics soon. I'd love your opinion!

  12. Rynetta, I tried on the skirts today again and kept the smaller size. My SA grabbed the bigger one that I returned for herself:) We do this a lot.
I hear you on having a rear:) We are in the same boat.
I can't wait to pair this skirt with a black sweater (so many colors go with it though).
I got the Jackie in African Violet today (on sale at my store) and it goes perfectly with this skirt.
Also, I wish it was maybe an inch shorter.
Can't wait to read your review.
What material is the button up in this color made out of?

  13. A!!! I love it! It sounds like you have a great relationship with your PS. I love my PS. I saw a catalog shot of the skirt paired with a black turtleneck sweater, and I loved the look. I can't remember the material of the perfect shirt, but I can post a review of it this weekend. I had a review post planned, but I didn't like how I looked in the pic. I will definitely report back with the material info. I can't wait for the new store rollout Monday!!!
