New Year, New Camera, and the J. Crew Hacking Jacket!

Hi Everyone!

Happy New Year!!!  I'm really looking forward to an exciting year in 2012.  I'm not really a resolutions person because I create daily goals; however, I do have 2 goals for 2012.  First, I am determined to finish my tenure book.  Secondly, I am determined to be a better wife.  What are your goals for 2012?

Now for an upcoming OOTD:  I was super excited to get a new camera yesterday thanks to my amazing husband!  I am really looking forward to clearer OOTD pictures and fitting room reviews.  Here are a few pictures of the J. Crew Hacking Jacket in Tipped Double-Serge Wool in Pearl Grey paired with the Boy Shirt in Stripe Crepe de Chine in Navy:

I've wanted to recreate this outfit since seeing Marissa Webb wearing it in the following image:

What do you think of this outfit?  Do tell!

Thanks for stopping by!  I really appreciate you being here!

  1. Happy 2012! How exciting to get a new camera--I'm looking forward to your fitting room reviews!

I really like this outfit! You can't go wrong with stripes and I think the pearl grey color of this jacket is beautiful. I think the pearl grey color would also look nice paired with yellow.

  14. Happy New Year, Rynetta!

I love the jacket on you. Maybe adjust the collar on the shirt so it's more open at the neck, as Marissa has it? Although I realize maybe you just snapped this quickly.

Please share your tips as you aim to be a better wife. I see a blog series in this...? *hint hint*

  15. Gigi!! Happy New Year to you too!! Thanks SO much for your comments about the jacket. I really like it too. And, you're super right about the shirt. I typically wear a perfect fit tank underneath my shirts to prevent gaping. I was so excited about taking pictures with my new camera that I forgot to put the tank on, LOL! As my husband was snapping the picture, he said, "ummm, babe, your shirt is gaping." So, I pulled the shirt up a bit. You have great eyes!

I'd be delighted to share my tips as I work on being a better wife! My husband is SO wonderful to me. I just want to be the best wife possible. More soon on that!

    Thanks for being here!!!
