OOTD: Navy Check and Viridian Green

Hi Everyone!

Here is a quick post featuring the outfit that I wore to church today.  I've loved the following website image since it appeared on jcrew.com:

The Viridian Green color of the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Double-Serge Wool is my absolute favorite!  I tried to recreate the outfit shown above.  I added the Tippi Sweater in Navy.  Here is my outfit:

My husband tried to capture the Navy check print, but it just isn't showing up well.  The navy checks really added another dimension to the outfit.

I will be back later with a few J. Crew shirt reviews!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Love this! I kept missing my size in the check shirt! I do have the viridian and will try to do this - you look wonderful!

  2. WMM: Thanks SO much!!! I LOVE the Viridian Green skirt! Please let me know what you think of this look when you put it together. I wish that my husband and I could have captured the details of the shirt; the shirt really makes the skirt pop.

Thanks SO much for being here. I really appreciate it!

  3. I love your outfit! I always amazed how the viridian green goes with everything. I agree that the checks make the outfit, I know the feeling when the pictures just would not capture how something looks irl...

  4. Love your outfit, I missed out on the wool pencil skirts this past season, for some reason I didn't love them. All of you ladies look amazing in them!!! I might have to rethink a popback in the sale section. Thanks for sharing!!

  5. ajc: Thanks SO much!! I love how the Viridian Green goes with so much in my wardrobe. This is really one of my favorite J. Crew skirts.

About the pictures: I just kept thinking, we have to be able to get a better picture than this! I guess that it's just tough to capture all of the details at times.

MB: Thanks SO much!! I really like the wool pencil skirts, but I'm a winter girl through and through. I know that sounds crazy, LOL, but I love winter!!!

Thanks SO much for being here ladies!!

  6. you know Rynetta, I think just laying the clothes on the table and doing the closeup may do the trick? I will try it next time I cannot get the details in full shot. What do you think?

  7. ajc: I totally agree with you!! I totally think that I will lay the clothes on a table and snap pictures whenever it's too hard to capture all of the details in a blouse or any other clothing item. Great idea!!!

Thanks SO much for being here!!
