J. Crew Collection Cashmere Polka-Dot Sweater and Factory Perfect Shirt in Printed Cotton

Hi Everyone!

Thanks again SO much for your feedback on my "Thursday Thoughts" post.  I really appreciate this community.  And, once again, I apologize if you see the "comment deleted by blog administrator" phrase on any of your comments on any post.  My phone did it.  I realize that sounds a lot like the dog ate my homework, LOL!

Okay, I have two items to review today.  The first is the J. Crew Collection Cashmere Polka-Dot Sweater in Green Atlantic.  This is probably my third J. Crew Cashmere sweater.  I tried to resist this one, but the polka dots won me over.  Here are a few IRL pictures:

I'm wearing a perfect tank under the sweater.  Here is a picture of the back of the sweater:

And, finally, a closer view of the print:

I also ordered the J. Crew Factory Perfect Shirt in Printed Cotton in Navy.  Here are IRL pictures of the shirt:

And, a closer picture of the print:

I really like both of these items!  What do you think of the J. Crew Collection Cashmere Polka-Dot Sweater and the J. Crew Factory Perfect Shirt in Printed Cotton?  Do tell!

Thanks for stopping by!

  7. So, for the cashmere sweater - worth the price tag or no?

    1. Skylette: I really like this cashmere sweater, and I think that it's worth the price. However, I will add the following caveat: I own three J. Crew cashmere sweaters including this one. I haven't worn the other two sweaters yet because I purchased them at the end of the season last year. So, I don't have experience with the pilling issues that have been widely reported in the JCA community. I hope that helps!

That's just a suggestion, but I can't stress how much I LOVE your blog. I'm SO grateful that you're a member of this community!!!!!!

  10. Hi rynetta - would you say the dots on the perfect shirt are white or off-white? I can't really tell - maybe it's just my monitor!

    1. Hi silver_lining! I'd say that the dots are more white than off-white. I think that my camera does funny things at times with colors!

  14. Rynetta,
I have about 7 JCrew cashmere pieces. I want to love the Cashmere Tippi, but I won't purchase any more of their cashmere until they fix the pilling issue. The pilling will begin with the first wear. By the time you get to the third wear, it looks like you've had it for 10 years.

  15. I only saw the main pic of the factory buttondown, the leopard print. Thanks for reviewing the polka dots. I re-ordered the long no 2. pencil skirt and threw the factory top in there to try.
