J. Crew Marquess Fleur Necklace and a Tip

Hi Everyone!

I planned to post an OOTD; however, today is one of those days when the outfit I conceived in my head just didn't turn out right in IRL.  I guess the good thing is that I had clothes on, LOL!  It's all about perspective.  At any rate, I have IRL pictures of the J. Crew Marquess Fleur Necklace that I'd like to share.

I LOVE this necklace!

Here is an IRL picture:

What do you think of the J. Crew Marquess Fleur Necklace?  Do tell!

p.s.  I'm not sure if you remember that one of my goals this year is to be a better wife.  I believe that there is always something I can do better in every area of my life.  For example, as I leave the classroom, I'm constantly thinking about better ways to teach a text.  When I stop doing that, it's time for me to walk away. I can always improve.  So, my goal each day in my marriage is to be a better wife.  My amazing husband and I are very active in marriage ministry.  We both come from broken homes, and we made a vow from day one that divorce stops with us (ummmm, literally, because we don't have kids, LOL).  We're currently taking a Dynamic Marriage class sponsored by the Family Dynamics Institute.  It's a great course, and one of the strategies we've learned is that instead of telling your spouse that you hate it/dislike it when they do something, it's better to say, "I like it best when you do _________."  I LOVE the idea of emphasizing the positive!

Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Lovely necklace, I wish I had somewhere too wear that too and food for thought on marriage my hubs is the quiet type who doesn't share feelings unless they are chiselled out of him and I'm the " I hate when you do that" type, I'll try the I like I best approach but can't promise you anything!

    1. Tabitha: Thanks SO much!!! I really like this necklace. Please let me know how the "I like it best" approach works! It has worked really well for me and my wonderful hubby. Most of the time, we end up laughing hysterically. And, laughter is always a good thing!

    1. injanuity: Thanks SO much! I love this necklace too! I have read the Five Love Languages!!! And, like you, I really like that book. It's funny, my love language(s) have changed a bit since I first got married. My wonderful hubby has also noted a change in his primary love language. I guess it's important to keep taking the inventory! Have you read Love and Respect? It's a great book too!

  7. Your necklace is beautiful, and your tip is even more beautiful! I think emphasizing the positive and finding positive ways to make even negative comments is useful in all relationships (marriage, business, professional, friendships, etc). It's not always easy, though! One of my good friends is a psychiatrist, and she and I have had some very interesting conversations on the power of positive reinforcement :-)

  8. joyandsunshine: Thanks SO much!!! I totally agree with you that this tip applies to all relationships. And, you're right, it's not always easy. Positive reinforcement is powerful though--it really does work!
