My dear readers, I have a confession: I buy multiples. Yes, I'm the girl who finds something that she likes and buys it in a variety of colors, especially J. Crew Pencil Skirts. Initially, my J. Crew go to sweater was the Jackie; however, I adore the Tippi Sweater. I'm super grateful that J. Crew continues to release new vibrant colors of the Tippi, and I'm hoping that the Tippi will become a J. Crew staple like the Jackie cardigan. I love the Tippi sweater because I can layer it effortlessly, and because it fits into my wardrobe easily.
I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I own *almost* every color of the Tippi. Oh well, it doesn't matter, I've done enough confessing for one day!
Do you buy multiples? Do tell!
p.s. I have reviews of the J. Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Cotton in Light Rose and the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Fanfare coming up!
I hope that everyone is having a great weekend! Here's the outfit that I wore to church today. The outfit is inspired by the wonderful Rose of the lovely 1 More Shopping Blog and a post she did here. Rose's outfits are always super cute. I had been struggling with how to style the J. Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Harvest Tweed, so I decided to emulate Rose's super cute outfit. Here are a few pictures:
I really like the Heart Me Sweater. Indeed, I like it so much that I grabbed the Navy/Green version too. I would have grabbed the Heather Acorn version, but light browns don't match my skin tone well.
Thanks for stopping by! I really appreciate you being here!
I was super excited to see the new arrivals on the J. Crew website this morning! Here's what I'm loving:
I love a super cute pencil skirt, so my first favorites are skirts:
I really like the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Double Serge Cotton in Light Rose. I grabbed this color, and I love how it's paired with stripes on the website. I live in pencil skirts so I'm happy to see that J. Crew continues to release more colors of this skirt! My online personal shopper said that this skirt will also be available in the Succulent Green color, as well as a few other colors. Yes!
I'm also loving the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Fanfare:
I was hoping to see the Silk Boy Shirt in Heart Throb when I visited my retail store earlier this week; however, they didn't receive it. I really like this shirt, but I want to see it in person to make sure that the print isn't overwhelming:
I'm also loving the Natasha Top in Watercolor Floral seen here:
Finally, I'm loving the Schoolboy Blazer in Herringbone in Neon Pink:
That's my list of loves! What J. Crew new arrivals are you loving? Do tell!
I stopped by the J. Crew retail store today to take a peek at the new arrivals. I love all of the springy vibrant colors! A couple of things caught my eye. I grabbed the Peyton Popover in Stripe Crepe De Chine in Green/Navy pictured below:
I really like this shirt; it's paired with purple in the new catalog--the look is gorgeous!
There were other great new arrivals that I will discuss in another post. I will note that I am super disappointed that one of the No. 2 Pencil Skirts I was really looking forward to grabbing, the Gardenshade Floral in Admiral Blue, does not come in my size. I cannot stress how irritating it is that J. Crew does not offer size 14 skirts in retail stores, and that the No. 2 Pencil Skirt does not come in size 14 in all patterns. Sorry for the vent.
What do you think of the Peyton Popover in Stripe Crepe De Chine in Green/Navy? Do tell!
I received the J. Crew Factory Pencil Skirt in Byzantine Blue earlier this week. I LOVE this vibrant color! Here are a few IRL pictures:
Here is a picture of the inside lining of the skirt:
I think that this skirt is very sturdy; I am very happy with the quality. I will get a lot of wear out of this beauty! What do you think of this skirt? Do tell! See this skirt on the lovely AudreyBella of the wonderful blog Life is Short...Buy the shoes here.
I have a question about fit, and I need some help! I ordered the J. Crew Sterling Skirt earlier this week. I LOVE the skirt; the material is sturdy and very well-made. I'm concerned, however, about the fit. My wonderful husband thinks that there is too much material in the back, but I think that's because I typically wear pencil skirts. Here is a quick pic of the back of the skirt (please excuse the fuzzy cell phone image and the bathroom):
What do you think about how the J. Crew Sterling Skirt fits me? Please share!
Thanks for your help! And, thanks for stopping by!
I was super excited to see J. Crew offer the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Double-Serge Cotton in the gorgeous Warm Jade color. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE beautiful shades of green. This skirt does not disappoint. Here are a few IRL pictures of the skirt:

I will end this post with 2 pictures that reflect my effort to be a better wife in 2012. One way that I hope to be a better wife is by affirming my wonderful hubby daily. What better way to do that than by wearing a t-shirt that says it all?
I LOVE the J. Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Basket-Weave Tweed in both colors, the Marine Blue and Grass Green. I was super excited to get the skirts this week after hearing Whitney's glowing review on the JCA Reviews thread earlier this week.
I live in pencil skirts; I LOVE the pattern/color of these tweed skirts. Here are a few IRL pictures of both colors:

I've been eyeing a few pieces of jewelry and some shoes from the most recent J. Crew roll out. Here are the J. Crew jewelry items on my January wishlist:
I'm a sucker for the bubble necklace. I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I already own the sweet papaya, modern red, and black colors of this necklace. That doesn't stop me from wanting this beautiful necklace in the turquoise color too:
I'm also eyeing the Palm Springs Beaded Necklace:
I really like this necklace. I can think of several ways to wear it. See shopwithm's review of this necklace on her wonderful blog, Shopping with M, here.
Now, for the shoes:
I LOVE the Viv Flats in the henna color seen here:
These shoes are adorable! See the Viv Flats on Dinster on her wonderful blog, Shopping on the Fly, here.
Finally, I LOVE the Classic Leather Ballet Flats in Soft Fuchsia seen here:
That's my J. Crew jewelry/shoes wishlist for January! Whew! What is on your wishlist? Do tell!
Happy New Year!!! I'm really looking forward to an exciting year in 2012. I'm not really a resolutions person because I create daily goals; however, I do have 2 goals for 2012. First, I am determined to finish my tenure book. Secondly, I am determined to be a better wife. What are your goals for 2012?
