Hi Everyone!

I reviewed the J. Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Pinwheel Eyelet in Neon Rose last week here.  I LOVE this skirt.  I received the navy version earlier today.  Here are a few IRL pictures of the navy:

What do you think of the J. Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Pinwheel Eyelet in Navy?  Do tell!

  3. I'm so envious of your pencil skirt collection. Beautiful! How many skirts to you own? I'm just starting to feel the love that is the number 2 pencil, but have bought 4 in a month :)

  8. Love all of your reviews, but especially of the pencil skirts! I became a little obssessed with these skirts just this season and have an array of colours in the double serge wool. In your experience, would you say that the double serge cotton and the tweeds fit the same as the wool? I'm hedging which size I should order. I'm in Canada, and returns are just too pricey for me. Thanks!

  11. You photographed it well. The navy is very dark, in its usual J Crew form. I might get one pencil skirt for spring. Only one as I don't wear them often. This is on my shortlist.

  13. It's a beautiful skirt Rynetta! I'm a big fan of J.Crew's dark navy and especially that I can perfectly match up the shade on something from years ago with a brand new navy item.

    1. Hi Unknown! I plan to wear this skirt with a white J. Crew Schoolboy Blazer and the Fan Fringe Necklace. I'll probably also style the skirt with a pink Tippi Sweater. I hope this helps!

  15. Amazing skirt! Love it! If you don't mind, I need your advice as J.Crew expert, especially in skirts))) Do you always purchase the same size of No. 2 Pencil Skirt regardless of fabric? I have No. 2 Pencil Skirt in wool and I want to purchase the same in cotton and in Pinwheel Eyelet, should I choose the same size? Thank you

    1. I totally agree that this is an amazing skirt! I purchase/wear a size 14 in J. Crew skirts regardless of the fabric. I'd stick with the size you purchased in the wool version of the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in the cotton and Pinwheel Eyelet versions. I hope this helps!

  16. Rynetta,

Have you happened to try Banana Republic's Paris green eyelet pencil skirt? I'm curious how it compares in fit/quality compared to JCrew's eyelet pencil skirts. I have the Factory eyelet pencil skirt, and I'm trying to decide if I "need" any more!

    1. CH: I haven't tried the BR skirt. Their skirts don't fit me well! I wish that I could help more!
