Thankful

Hi Everyone!

This is a very tough announcement for me to make, but my MIL passed away yesterday.  Unfortunately, my amazing husband found her dead on the floor in her apartment.  She has been sick for a very long time, and he was doing everything he could to convince her to move to an assisted living place/nursing home.  She said she wouldn't do it, and we think that it's because she knew it was her time.  I firmly believe the following quote:

My MIL LOVED my husband with all of her heart.  He was her only child.  And, she raised an AMAZING son and husband.  I've watched for years as he has loved, honored, and taken care of her.  And, I'm blown away by how he does the same for me every single minute of the day.  She left him the sweetest note about how he was her joy and how he is the reason why she fought so long and so hard.  This note has given us SO much hope.  I'm eternally grateful to her for leaving it and every single detail about her wishes and insurance.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks SO much for being here.

  9. Oh honey, I am so sorry for your and your husband's loss. We do know your MIL is singing with the angels but it is so tough to be left here on earth. My prayer is that the grieving will be replaced with the loving memories and joy of her godly life over time.
Psalm 30:5 - Weeping may remain for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
May God bless you and you beloved.

  14. I had given up posting and commenting but you have brought me out of hiding Rynetta. As someone who in all likelihood stands a pretty good chance becoming a Mother in law I can say: You see the bigger picture, you see this woman nurtured your husband into the person you want to be with and you display a deep respect of his love for her and her's for him. I am sure she rests in peace knowing her son is with a person who has such a big heart.
