J. Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Colorblock Stripe

Hi Everyone!

I have a review of the J. Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Colorblock Stripe to share.  I'm a huge fan of J. Crew pencil skirts.  I absolutely love this one.  I'm hoping that they don't alter the No. 2 Pencil Skirt like they did the current cotton version here.  The seams on the cotton twill version made me look like a mermaid, LOL.

Here are IRL pictures of the Colorblock Stripe Skirt:

I took my normal size 14 in this skirt.  I really like how the skirt is styled on the website; it's a really clean/classic look:

What do you think of this skirt?  Do tell!

p.s.  I have the following reviews scheduled for the weekend:

Saturday:  Viv Mirror Metallic Bow Flats
Sunday:  Merino-Mesh Sleeve Sweater  and Floral Deco Necklace

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Sorry if this comes across twice. I totally agree that the No. 2 skirts STINK right now- I got one in navy and it's complete mermaid like you said. Question: how do you tell if it's the old style or new? Thanks for telling me the stripe skirt is the good kind!!

    1. Hi Jena Wise!

Boy, oh boy, why did they have to mess with a great thing?!?! I think that the best way to tell the difference between the old and the newer versions is to look at the seams along the sides/rear area. And, I think that the solid colors are the only ones that have been changed. I am crossing my fingers that they do away with those awful seams!

      Enjoy your weekend!

  2. That's looking good! I can't do that stripe pattern, but I'll admire it on you. I like it w/the simple blouse as well.
