Salt-N-Pepa was my favorite female rap duo when I was growing up. My sister took me to see them in concert when I was in middle school. That concert was the first I attended, and it's still one of my fondest childhood memories. Each time I see the recent Geico Commercial featuring this fabulous duo, I'm reminded of SO many things, the biggest of which is how this group paved the way for other black female rappers by stepping out of the box, by literally pushing societal boundaries.
I was totally thinking about pushing and exceeding boundaries when I decided to try the J. Crew Toothpick Jeans one more time earlier today. If you read my Pants to Make Her Dance post, you know that I have had traumatic experiences with pants. Today, however, the tide changed, thank God! I tried both the Ever Stretch Toothpick Jean in Resin Rinse and the Toothpick Cone Denim Jean in Classic Rinse........and they both fit GREAT!!!! I can finally wear J. Crew jeans.
I mean, seriously, this is huge. This black girl booty fits into J. Crew jeans!!!!! And, I sized down from a 14 to a 12!
But, don't take my word for it. Here are IRL pictures of the jeans:
After this experience, I will continue pushing the boundaries real good. Have you tried the toothpick jeans?
Thanks for stopping by!
