Thanks SO much for the birthday wishes! I will respond to comments this evening! And, I will post Part II of my amazing J. Crew NYFW experience tomorrow morning.
Today, I want to share a review of the J. Crew Rhodes Blazer in Herringbone. I LOVE a great blazer because I wear them non-stop during all seasons. A blazer is major wardrobe staple for me. I knew that I had to have the Rhodes Blazer when it was released because the cut and the design is SO classic. This blazer seriously does not disappoint IRL.
I am wearing the "Wave Mist" color in the pictures below:
Fit: I took my normal size 12 in this blazer. I highly recommend this beauty! I think that the gold buttons add a super cute pop to the blazer.
This has been an amazing week for me. Today is my 39th birthday! And, this past Wednesday, I attended the J. Crew NYFW presentation. Jenna Lyons personally invited me to the show. And, let me tell you, I am still shaking with excitement. As you know, I LOVE J. Crew and Jenna Lyons. This invitation/trip totally made my year!
This was a dream come true for me. I started my blog, jcrewismyfavstore, years ago because I LOVE J. Crew and because I wanted to see size 12/14 women like me representing the brand I love. I am still on cloud nine. Every single person on the J. Crew team treated me like a rock star. It was an amazing experience that could not have happened at a better time in my life. This past Tuesday, the day that I went to NYC, marked one year since I had to say "see you later" to my amazing Mom. The trip was right on time for me. And, I could feel my Mom cheering me on, as always.
Here are a few pictures from the presentation:
The first two pictures are two of my faves. I met my shero!:
Jenna is absolutely amazing!!!!
And, here are a few images from the presentation. I am super excited for Spring!:
I will post more images from the presentation this week. I love all of these looks!
My apologies for the unplanned hiatus, but it has been super crazy for me as I try to meet several deadlines.
I have SO many reviews to share/post. So, I will start with a review of the J. Crew Zip-Front Pencil Skirt in Sparkle Tweed. This skirt was really an unexpected love for me. I thought that the skirt was too neutral for me until I saw it in a retail store. The tweed pattern is amazing and vibrant:
