J. Crew Collection Fringed Suede Skirt

Hi Everyone!

I have been admiring the J. Crew Collection Fringed Suede Skirt since it was released.  I kept thinking that it was a beautiful skirt, but I didn't know if I could pull it off.  I decided to give it a try.....and I am SO glad that I did!  This skirt is out of my comfort zone, but I LOVE it!

Here are two IRL pictures of the skirt:

Fit/Details:  This skirt fits TTS.  I took my normal size 14.  The skirt receives a 5-star review on the website--I totally see why.  The quality is fantastic, the fit is great, and the design is fabulous.  The fringe design/element is done so well that it doesn't seem like you're exposing too much skin if you know what I mean.  I wanted the striking salmon color of this skirt to pop, so I paired it with a burgundy Tippi Sweater.  A fellow J. Crew lover paired this beautiful skirt with a denim jacket for NYFW.  I loved her outfit because it made the skirt a bit casual.

OOTD: J. Crew Collection Tricolor Sequin Skirt

Hi Everyone!

Happy Easter (if you celebrate)!  Here is the outfit that I wore to church earlier today!  My outfit is all J. Crew, of course!

I love how the J. Crew Denim Jacket in Tyler Wash makes this outfit a "little" casual.  And, I LOVE this skirt.  The skirt fits TTS to slightly roomy.  I am wearing my normal size 14.

My outfit was inspired by this website image:

I love the J. Crew Leather Lace-Up Ballet Flats with this skirt/look!

J. Crew Collection Neon and Metallic Tweed Pencil Skirt

Hi Everyone!

I am all about versatility in my wardrobe.  I knew that the J. Crew Collection Neon and Metallic Tweed Pencil Skirt would add a great deal of variety/options in my closet.  This skirt is so striking and gorgeous.

Here are two styling options for this beautiful skirt:

Fit/Details:  I sized up *one* size in this skirt because of the jacquard material.  The fabric does not have much "give" at all.  The fabric/design/pattern is so beautiful.  The color combination makes this skirt an ideal wardrobe staple during the warmer seasons.  I love how the J. Crew Denim Jacket in Tyler Wash looks with this skirt.  I have been reaching for this denim jacket almost daily.  This skirt is longer than the typical J. Crew pencil skirt.  I highly recommend this beauty.

J. Crew Colorful Jacquard Striped Skirt

Hi Everyone!

I saw the J. Crew Colorful Jacquard Striped Skirt at the concept store when I was in NYC for NYFW. This beauty caught my eye immediately. It is a phenomenal pencil skirt.  And, I've said it before, but J. Crew does colors/pencil skirts better than any other retailer.  The design is absolutely superb:

I love the idea of pattern mixing and wearing this skirt with a striped shirt:

I paired my skirt with the J. Crew Gathered Popover Shirt in Microgingham and the Denim Jacket in Tyler Wash.  One reviewer on the J. Crew website (who also gives this skirt 5-stars) says that she took her normal size.  I sized up *one* size because of the jacquard material.  The fit is fantastic. And,, the quality is equally superb.  I highly recommend this skirt.

J. Crew Trench Cape

Hi Everyone!

I could not stop staring at the J. Crew Trench Cape when I received the latest Style Guide.  This is a fabulous/classic/versatile piece in my opinion.  I love that this cape combines two of my favorites, a great trench and a classic cape:

Fit/Details:  I took the L/XL in this cape, so the fit is TTS.  The fit is really great for me, but the scale of the trench may be too much if you're petite/smaller.  I am a huge fan of the details on this beauty.  There is a super cute gingham lining on the inside (oops, I forgot to snap an IRL picture). And, I love that you can wear this trench closed/cinched with the belt or open like the model on the website.  And, of course, I love that the collar can be popped:

I will try to get IRL pictures of the J. Crew Short-Sleeve Popover Shirt in Metallic Gingham up later today.  In the meantime, I absolutely love the shirt.  The fit is TTS and it's super versatile.  I have a picture of the shirt on my Instagram HERE.

J. Crew Motorcycle Jacket in Gingham

Hi Everyone!

I saw the J. Crew Motorcycle Jacket in Gingham at the concept store while I was in NYC for the amazing NYFW show.  I knew immediately that I would be adding this beauty to my wardrobe.  I love gingham and the motorcycle jacket adds a bit of flair to this super preppy pattern.

Here are two IRL pictures of the jacket:

Fit/Details:  I sized up *one* size in this jacket because of the motorcycle fit.  I was concerned that it would be too cropped in my normal size 12.  And, it definitely would have been.  The size 14 adds a slight bit of length on me, and it also makes the shoulders/arms roomy enough to wear the J. Crew Three-Quarter Sleeve Stretch Perfect Shirt underneath without any bunching.  The jacket is lightweight enough to wear as the weather transitions.  I highly recommend this jacket--the quality/fit is superb.  I paired the jacket with the J. Crew Dulci Fabric-Bow Kitten Heels to add a bit of pattern mixing.

J. Crew Micro-Pleated Midi Skirt

Hi Everyone!

The J. Crew Micro-Pleated Midi Skirt is one of my absolute favorite skirts.  This skirt is all kinds of fabulous, seriously.  The material is light and airy, which will be a huge plus when it gets warmer. And, the pleats are so well done that they look flattering even if you're heavier on the bottom like me.
Here are two IRL pictures of the skirt:

And, this is the mannequin image that inspired my purchase/styling.  I copy mannequins, in large part, because I love the styling.  I am a huge fan of the outfit combinations that J. Crew puts together. Most often, they are combos that are so striking that I would not have thought to put together. Moreover, I copy the mannequins because it's nice to see how the outfits will look on a person:

Fit/Details:  I took my normal size 14 in this skirt, so the fit is TTS.  I tried the size 12 on and it fit, too.  However, because this is not a pull on style (there is a zipper), the size 14 works much better. The waist band on the size 12 felt too restrictive for me.  I highly recommend this beauty.

I am wearing the skirt with the J. Crew Garment-Dyed Pocket T-Shirt, the J. Crew Denim Jacket in Tyler Wash, the J. Crew Crystal Cluster Necklace, and the J. Crew Dulci Kitten Heels in Romantic Floral.  I love the idea of pairing the skirt with the J. Crew Fringe Slingback Sandals, but I worry that the flats would make me look frumpy in this skirt.
