I LOVE a great coat! And, I'm a total sucker for a great J. Crew coat! So, on this chilly Saturday, I'm sharing three of my current favorite J. Crew coats! I love a great pop of color up top, so I am a huge fan of the J. Crew Lodge Coat in Italian Stadium-Cloth Wool in the Vibrant Flame. This coat is super cozy because it has an insulted lining! And, the coat is super stylish! Fit is TTS. Here are two IRL pictures of the coat:
Finally, I am absolutely loving all of the faux fur pieces at J. Crew this season. This faux fur coat is AMAZING. I love wearing a coat is the focal or statement piece and this beauty is ALL that! Fit is TTS:
I am waiting on more photos from my photographer, but here is one IRL picture of this amazing coat:
This coat is a bold and striking statement piece. I think that it pairs well with SO many other J. Crew "holiday" pieces. Fit is TTS. I love how the coat is styled on the website pairing burgundy on burgundy with the J. Crew Tissue Turtleneck T-Shirt. I also love the idea of pairing this gorgeous coat with stripes. I'm wearing this fun turtleneck. I cannot wait until this shirt ships. Finally, I think that this super cute tartan clutch adds the perfect touch. More photos of this coat are forthcoming!
And, here a few of my favorite pieces that sold out quickly initially, but are back in stock:
The J. Crew Parke Blazer in Tartan has quickly become one of my favorites. I own the velvet version of this blazer which is equally adorable. This blazer is SO adorable. The quality is superb, the fit is fantastic, and the design is the cutest! This blazer is super flattering! Here is an IRL picture of the tartan version of the blazer:
The blazer fits TTS. I plan to wear this blazer beyond the holiday season. The tartan pattern is not limited to the holidays in my opinion. The pattern is festive, but I think that black helps to tone that festiveness down a bit. The satin lapel adds an extra special touch to the design. I highly recommend this beauty!
And, here are a few other "tartan" pieces that I adore:
I am SO glad that velvet is on trend because I am crushing on so many fabulous J. Crew velvet pieces. This gorgeous skirt (available here, too) is one of my favorite wardrobe pieces. I love how flattering and versatile this skirt is. It pairs SO well with many pieces including sweaters and graphic t-shirts.
Here are a few IRL pictures of the velvet skirt with a denim jacket and graphic t-shirts:
These skirts fit TTS if not slightly roomy. I am typically a size 14/16 on the bottom depending on the cut, the shape, and the style of the skirt. I took these skirts in a size Large. I tried the XL, but it was too roomy in the midsection. The elastic waistband is SO comfortable and super flattering. The waistband really helps to hide the lumps and the bumps if the midsection is a "problem" area. It really sucks things in, LOL! The skirts are fully lined. I love that these gorgeous skirts look great with graphic t-shirts for a dressed down and casual look.
I am also loving velvet blazers this season! I love the idea of pairing a velvet blazer with a graphic t-shirt, too!
Here is the outfit that I wore to church earlier today. I absolutely LOVE this sequin skirt. And, I love wearing sequins with a graphic t-shirt and a denim jacket to dress down the look a bit. I've heard several women say that they're not sure where they'd wear a sequin skirt. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, wear a sequin skirt wherever you choose! If people seem to look at you crazy, that's on them, not you. I encourage you to live your life without fear of what others have to say about you or what you're doing......or what you're wearing! I received SO many compliments on this skirt today. Strangers stopped me to say something about how beautiful this skirt is.
I hope that you're having a great weekend! The J. Crew Lottie Bow Flats in Wool Tartan were at the top of my must have list! These shoes do not disappoint IRL! These festive beauties are super comfortable and they will be in constant rotation. I highly recommend these shoes, but I recommend sizing up a 1/2 size to avoid toe cleavage and a tight fit. I'm typically a size 9, but I took these shoes in a size 9.5. The size 9 would have worked, but they felt too cramped around the toe area because of the pointed toe design. Here are three IRL pictures of the shoes:
Again, these shoes are SO comfortable and cute! I absolutely adore the frayed/raw edges on the bows. Grab these beauties, you will not regret this purchase! I am a huge fan of the other J. Crew Tartan/"Stewart Plaid" pieces, too!
Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see my OOTD and to check out a review of the J. Crew Velvet Pull-On Skirt (available here, too). I am crushing on all things velvet this season!!!
Here is the outfit that I wore this past Thursday. For years, I refused to wear white after Labor Day. I'm not sure why I blindly accepted this fashion "rule"; however, this week I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and to wear white on white. I must say that it felt liberating for several reasons. On the one hand, it was nice to break a "rule" that really does not seem to apply anymore. On the other, it felt great to wear white at my 12/14/16 size range and to feel spectacular while wearing it. I received more compliments on this outfit than I count.
